Today I will celebrate an end of the school year Mass at 9:00 AM. The last 2 1/2 months have been like none ever experienced before!  I am thankful to God for how He has inspired, and, guided Mrs. Salmon and the teachers to use all means available to continue to provide the quality education that St. Andrew’s is known for, to the students.  It is in difficult and trying times that the grace of God will shine through, and, be the source of much needed strength and support.  We see St. Paul, accused of speaking about Jesus rising from the dead, being attacked by the Jewish leaders.

Using the gifts of wisdom, and, fortitude, he uses the value of education, knowing what to do in a particular situation, to be of help to him, for, he knows that the Pharisees believe in the truths of what he was teaching, but, did not readily admit, until they saw themselves opposed by the Sadducees.  This led them to come to Paul’s defense.  God wants us to know that this unity with Him, that He is praying for in the Gospel, means that He is always there for us.  May we learn from the Scriptures, and from schooling, to see that difficult situations will arise in life, but, that from our union with God, and, our ability to think, and, reason, we can find solutions.

May God bless our graduating Eighth Graders as they move on to High School, and all of our teachers, students, and, their families for a safe and joyous summer.

Fr. Robert
