Father's Tuesday, 4/28/2020 Message

As people we have a thirst for knowledge, to know all the facts to help us make decisions, that's why many of us listen to, or, watch news programs a good deal of the time.  Unfortunately, it can overwhelm us, and, because, we are not always provided with all the facts, it can leave us feeling frustrated, or, even apathetic, an, I don't care attitude.

However, God wants us to know the fullness of His plan of salvation that is accomplished in Jesus Christ.  St. Stephen was covered only briefly in the readings from yesterday and ending in his martyrdom today.  I invite you to read the whole of Chapter 7 (64 verses) of Acts as he carefully explains in detail what I just stated, that the whole of the Old Testament is fulfilled in Jesus, and, he is blessed for his faithfulness to be given a vision of heavenly glory as he is being stoned for witnessing to this truth.

May we rejoice in knowing that God desires  not to conceal anything from us, but, to instead give us everything, and, the greatest gift we can have is the Holy Eucharist, which Jesus is teaching us about in this 6th Chapter of St. John's Gospel.

God bless you,
Fr. Robert
